The Network of Indian Professional (NetIP) Phoenix has been present in the valley for nearly two years and the 2010 Board of Directors is determined this year, more than ever, to develop a greater presence and engage in further involvement in the valley community.

This past February, NetIP Phoenix was well represented at the National Officer Leader Conference (OLC) held by NetIP North America in Los Angeles, with six board members in attendance. The conference focused on engaging in collaboration across the nation. It built a platform where the 26 nationwide chapters networked and brainstormed together to strengthen each chapter individually. The various discussions and presentations made at the conference resulted in great membership strategies and event ideas. One event that NetIP Phoenix has decided to host as a result of our member's requests in addition to the success of other chapters is a Holi event.

Many NetIP chapters host annual Holi events, giving young professionals in their local communities the chance to celebrate Holi. Holi - the Festival of Colors, is one of India's most popular festivals; it is celebrated in the spirit of welcoming the spring season and various events in Hindu mythology. Ultimately, Holi is a time when we can come together with nature and rejoice in the cheeriness of spring, leaving the gloom of winter behind. It gives us a great reason to bring everyone together and celebrate, while bringing culture and a little piece of India to Phoenix.
